In September 2003, I had
the opportunity to spend some time at this great firehouse in the theater
district in Manhattan. The bulldog, Dozer, is their neighbor and walks by
the firehouse a couple times a day with his mommy or daddy. This
firefighter keeps "cookies" in his fire coat in case they have
to enter someone's apartment who has a dog. That way the dog hopefully
eats the cookie and not the firefighters. This is a picture of what I am
sure is the
highlight of dozer's day.
