Comments: I was not able to attend Jay's funeral nor did I see it on TV. My husband Greg is also a proud Houston Firefighter for 22 years and he was there, marching, weeping, and feeling anger. Greg and I was able to spend some time at the Funeral Home Tuesday night and visited with the family and spoke to Dawn for a short time. My husband Greg, has known this family for 23 years and our hearts go out to all family members, friends, brother & sister Firefighters all over who has experience this type of tragedy. Let all our voices be heard so this situation will not occur again to anyone! I'm willing to march or do whatever it takes. We need to take care of our Hero's and show them we will and do support them in any way we can. May God be with them all !!!!

Comments: My deepest sympathies and prayers go out to the family of the Houston Fire Department. You all have sustained a tremendous lose to both Houston and the firefighting community. For we are all brothers and when one of our own dies a part of us dies with him. They say that sometimes Angels are standing right next to us. In this case every one of my fellow firefighters I stand next to, I look at and thank God that I have you angels standing beside me and everyone. While I realize your grief is heavy, you all are the most courageous and selfless people that I have ever had the pleasure to know. Don't ever forget what an impact you make on everyone's life you come into contact with. May God bless you and all of the Houston Fire Department.
