Comments: I lost a very close and dear friend, still hard to believe. It was really hard for me to go home, sit with my wife and daughter and go thru the photo album and see Jay, always with a smile on his face. I have known Jay 35 years as well as all his family. Our family holds dear to our heart his wife Dawn, daughter Jane, and son Hunter our prayers are with them, and ask God to help keep them strong through this tough time.

Comments:
I have only come to know Jay
in the last 2 months, and when I learned of his death early Saturday morning,
all I could think of was I had just talked with him 2 nights before. Then I
remembered how he took me up the ladder truck, encouraging me only to go as far
as I could. When we were almost to the top, We turned around and we looked at
the city skyline. I told him the view was awesome and that I could stay up there
forever, he said we will stay as long as you wish. We talked a little more, then
turned to go down. Little did I know that moment would be one of my most
cherished memories of him. Reading your statement of how much this ones hurts to
add to this memorial section, I thought you would like to know how much of an
impact he has made on all of us with Citizen's Academy, not only as our
instructor, but as a friend. I will greatly miss him.....
