Comments: One only has to view the names listed not only in New York but Houston as well to see how wide the swath of cultural diversities is in our Fire Departments.

I wish each of you a long and healthy life.

Marianne and I went to school together all thru out, Houseman, Landrum, Spring Branch High. Jay was 4 years younger than us, but I always remember the times he would not leave us alone, the pesty little brother. It is hard to believe he grew up to be such a wonderful and respected man, I think that anyone that went to Jay's funeral would agree that we will probably never see such a sight again in our lives. He was so loved by everyone. My thoughts and prayers go to Mrs Jahnke, Karen & Rod, Jeff (I don’t know his wife), Marianne and Ttommy, and all their children. What a loss. Love , Beth

I did not know Jay but knew the Jahnke family. In fact Roe and Faye were my first babysitters. I was deeply saddened to hear of their loss. Firefighters are very special people. My father and all of our friends while I was growing up were part of that group.
God Bless.
Nancy
